BHP and Kingsrose Mining have renewed their Finnmark Alliance for another year to continue exploring nickel, copper, and platinum group elements (PGE) in Norway. Originally launched in May 2024, the alliance includes BHP's commitment of up to $56 million in funding across two phases. Having already contributed $5.84 million—surpassing its first-year commitment—BHP will now focus solely on the Finnmark Alliance, discontinuing support for the Central Finland Alliance, whose tenure will revert fully to Kingsrose. The second year of the Finnmark Alliance will feature extensive airborne surveys across over 200 km of the Karasjok and Kautokeino Greenstone Belts to identify the most promising zones for potential copper-nickel-PGE mineral camps and future drilling targets.
