Shaanxi Provincial Joint Venture for Technological Innovation in Room Temperature and Atmospheric Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Storage Unveiled

On May 21, the unveiling ceremony for the Shaanxi Normal Temperature and Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Storage Technology Innovation Consortium was held. Fang Tao, a professor from the School of Chemical Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University and Director of the Technical Committee of Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Huang Ye, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy, attended the ceremony and unveiled the plaque.

Huang Ye stated that the approval and establishment of the Shaanxi Normal Temperature and Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Storage Technology Innovation Consortium is an important practice for Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy to implement the decisions and arrangements of the provincial party committee and government. It is also a crucial measure to overcome the technical bottlenecks in liquid hydrogen storage and promote the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry. Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy will collaborate closely with member units such as Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University, Shaanxi Automobile Group, and LONGi Hydrogen, leveraging their experience and advantages in hydrogen energy equipment R&D and engineering applications to jointly build an innovation ecosystem that deeply integrates "industry, academia, research, and application." The research institute should rely on its technological accumulations in areas such as hydrogen production and hydrogen refueling station construction, focusing on overcoming challenges in key technical directions such as the safety and storage-transportation efficiency of liquid hydrogen storage, striving to form a batch of core achievements with independent intellectual property rights. It should prioritize innovation and efficiency, accelerate the industrialisation of R&D achievements in the transportation and chemical sectors, promote the rapid implementation of technological achievements, and strive to blaze a new trail for Shaanxi in leading the hydrogen energy industry technology.

The Shaanxi Normal Temperature and Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Storage Technology Innovation Consortium is a provincial-level innovation platform approved and constructed by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. The consortium takes industry-leading enterprises as the main body, integrating the scientific research capabilities of universities and enterprise resources, focusing on the R&D of key technologies such as normal temperature and pressure liquid hydrogen technology, hydrogen-thermal cogeneration, and off-grid green hydrogen direct storage. It is committed to solving industrial technical challenges, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, advancing the implementation of new technology demonstration projects, and injecting new momentum into the hydrogen energy industry chain in Shaanxi Province.
