SMM May 20 news: Dealers in Hunan reported that end-use consumption in the e-bike lead-acid battery scrap market was sluggish, with retailers being cautious in purchasing. Battery inventory was around half a month. Additionally, the sales promotions atmosphere in the battery wholesale market was strong, with the main model 48V20Ah priced at 500-510 yuan/set. Manufacturers in Jiangxi reported that the replacement demand in the e-bike battery market was weak, with poor battery orders. To avoid inventory buildup, the current factory operating rate was at 70-80%, and raw material lead was mainly procured through long-term contracts. Manufacturers in Zhejiang reported that the off-season in the e-bike battery market continued, with dealers being cautious in procurement. Inventory of finished batteries was high. Currently, the factory operating rate was around 80%, and raw material lead was procured on a just-in-time basis.
