Recycler in Southwest China Cuts Prices by 50 Yuan/mt to Accelerate Shipments Amid Tight Transport Capacity

[Waste Lead-acid Battery Market Dynamics] According to an SMM survey, a recycler in southwest China mainly sells its supply across provinces over long distances. With few freight vehicles along the route and tight transport capacity, the shipment pace has been passively extended. In addition, the price protection policy of smelters in the main sales region will last until September 6, after which the purchase price will be cut by 100 yuan/mt. Since the recycler cannot ensure that the goods will arrive before the price drop, it proactively lowered its price by 50 yuan/mt today to speed up shipments and avoid "buying high and selling low," adopting a strategy of holding no inventory and following market prices.
