Class 1 Nickel Updates Mineral Resource Estimate for Dundonald North Deposit, Showing Significant Increases

Published: May 19, 2025 23:56
Class 1 Nickel and Technologies has released an updated mineral resource estimate for the Dundonald North nickel sulphide deposit, part of the broader 3,093-hectare Alexo-Dundonald project near Timmins, Ontario. The updated estimate shows a 31.4% increase in out-of-pit inferred resources, totaling 2.5 million tonnes at 0.75% nickel, along with significant gains in contained copper and cobalt. Across the four deposits in the project, total mineral resources now stand at 3.4 Mt indicated and 6.6 Mt inferred, using various NSR cut-offs. The Dundonald North and South deposits remain unmined, offering strong exploration potential, with further drilling planned to upgrade resources. CEO David Fitch emphasized the strategic importance of these deposits and highlighted additional exploration targets from untested EM anomalies and historical nickel sulphide occurrences. The company plans to launch an exploration program supported by airborne geophysics, historical drilling, and new remote sensing surveys to further define and expand the project’s resource base.
