SMM Flash News: Prices of High-Grade NPI Remain Stable with Minor Fluctuations

[SMM Flash News] As reported by SMM on May 16, the price range of SMM 10-12% high-grade NPI (ex-factory) was 935-948 yuan/mtu, with the average price unchanged from the previous working day and a premium of 2 yuan/mtu over SMM 8-10% high-grade NPI (ex-factory). The price range of SMM 10-12% Indonesian high-grade NPI (CIF, tax included) was 935-950 yuan/mtu, with the average price unchanged from the previous working day and a discount of 4.5 yuan/mtu compared to SMM 12-14% Indonesian high-grade NPI (CIF, tax included). The SMM high-grade NPI index was quoted at 945.28 yuan/mtu on the day, down 0.14 yuan/mtu from the previous working day, representing a 0.01% decline MoM from the previous working day. The SMM low-carbon high-grade NPI index was quoted at 952.5 yuan/mtu on the day, down 0.2 yuan/mtu from the previous working day.

This week, the average price of SMM 8-12% high-nickel pig iron was 941.9 yuan per nickel point (including tax, ex-factory), which is a decrease of 8.2 yuan per nickel point compared to last week. The price of high-nickel pig iron continues to face significant pressure.
