According to a report from South Korea on April 29, Hyundai Motor unveiled its new Xcient hydrogen fuel cell electric truck at the "2025 Advanced Clean Transportation Expo" held at the California Convention Center in the US from April 28 to May 1, and launched it in the North American market. The new Xcient hydrogen fuel cell electric truck has improved its power by enhancing the hydrogen fuel cell system, and has adopted cutting-edge driver assistance systems such as forward collision avoidance assistance, lane departure warning, side collision warning, and intelligent cruise control, which were not previously equipped, significantly enhancing safety. In addition, Hyundai Motor also announced its operational plan for the new energy business platform "HTWO Energy," which can simultaneously refuel hydrogen and charge batteries. Hyundai Motor will build an HTWO Energy station near the Hyundai Motor Group Meta Plant America (HMGMA) in Georgia, US, which can produce 1,200 kg of hydrogen fuel per day, sufficient for 17 new Xcient hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks.
The Vice President of Hyundai Motor's Global Commercial and Hydrogen Energy Business Division stated that the new Xcient hydrogen fuel cell electric truck will redefine the future of clean logistics in North America. Centered around HTWO, the Hyundai Motor Group will also collaborate with local companies to lead the construction of a hydrogen fuel system in North America.
