Recently, the announcement of the successful bidder for the T+EPC Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the Phase I project of the 2 million kW wind power-to-green hydrogen and 500,000 mt green methanol demonstration project's electrolytic water hydrogen production plant was released.

According to the announcement, the bid winner is Southwest Research & Design Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.

According to the tender notice, the T+EPC EPC contract for the Phase I project of the 2 million kW wind power-to-green hydrogen and 500,000 mt green methanol demonstration project's electrolytic water hydrogen production plant, operated by Goldwind Green Energy Chemical (Xing'an League) Co., Ltd., is located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Procurement scope: Starting from the battery limit of the hydrogen production unit, it includes units such as hydrogen storage, hydrogen compression, electrolyte preparation and circulation, waste electrolyte storage and export, nitrogen generation system and storage, closed-loop circulating water system (used only for electrolyte cooling), instrument and cabinet room, power transformation and distribution station, circulating water station, desalted water station, heating water station, initial rainwater and emergency water pool, up to the system where hydrogen and oxygen are sent out through pipelines. The contractor is required to design the overall production mode and propose public auxiliary facilities, while the supplier needs to make reasonable designs based on the fluctuating conditions of green electricity and comprehensively consider the layout of the hydrogen production workshop, among other factors.

Planned construction period: The supplier shall arrange the construction period reasonably, with the mid-term handover scheduled for November 30, 2025.
