PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), or Harita Nickel, reported a net profit of IDR 1.66 trillion in Q1 2025, a 19.4% increase from the previous year, driven by operational efficiency and the completion of its ferronickel (FeNi) smelter using RKEF technology, which reached full capacity in March and contributed 43,873 tons of nickel content. The company generated IDR 7.13 trillion in revenue, with 5.49 million wmt of nickel ore sold and 30,263 tons of nickel produced from HPAL operations. Despite falling global nickel prices—the lowest since 2020—Harita Nickel focused on cost-cutting, began constructing a quicklime plant to support HPAL, and advanced its sustainability initiatives. These included completing international audits (IRMA and RMAP), conducting a landscape-level nature risk assessment, increasing renewable energy use by 29.8% year-on-year, and planting thousands of mangrove seedlings in Halmahera. Harita aims to continue optimizing assets, enhancing efficiency, and integrating long-term sustainability and innovation into its operations.
