Indonesia's Laterite Nickel Ore Prices Rebound Amid Tight Supply Due to Rainy Season

【SMM Express】SMM reported on April 22 that according to the April 18 quotation, the price range of Indonesia's local laterite nickel ore with 1.5% (FOB) was $31.5-34.5/wmt, with an average price of $33/wmt. The price range of Indonesia's local laterite nickel ore with 1.6% (delivery-to-factory price) was $43-44/wmt, with an average price of $43.5/wmt. Due to the correction after the sharp decline in nickel prices last week, the current prices are gradually rebounding. The rainy season in Sulawesi is still ongoing, leading to tightening in the nickel ore supply. Most Indonesian miners stated that this has already impacted nickel ore transportation.
