Recently, the Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province issued an approval announcement for the annual production of 1 million mt of green methanol project.
According to the announcement, the annual production of 1 million mt of green methanol project is a new construction project, located in the Coastal Industrial Park of Binhai Economic Development Zone, Yancheng City, with a total land area of about 306 mu. The first phase will add a construction area of 73,725.2 m². After the project is completed and operational, it will annually consume 558,000 mt of biomass pellets, 180.8639 million kW·h of electricity, 75,600 mt of steam (4.8 MPa, 430℃), 14,851.54 m³ of natural gas, 100 mt of diesel, and 1.7485 million mt of new water. The annual comprehensive energy consumption (including raw material energy) is 309,389.58 tce (equivalent value), and the annual comprehensive energy consumption (excluding raw material energy) is 30,835.98 tce (equivalent value).
