SMM Tier 1 is an authoritative certification system defined by SMM as an independent third-party market research institution for the global new energy industry. This system employs a rigorous, transparent, and comprehensive methodology to evaluate enterprises across various segments of the new energy sector, aiming to set benchmarks for excellence in the industry.

The new energy industry is rapidly evolving, yet market information is fragmented, corporate strength is difficult to quantify, and supply chain credibility is questionable. SMM Tier 1, with "transparent methodology + independent audit" at its core, establishes "globally comparable" industry benchmarks for segments such as ESS, sodium-ion battery, and lithium battery materials, facilitating precise capital decision-making, efficient industry collaboration, and the manifestation of technological value.

After conducting extensive field trips to gather basic data on enterprises, such as capacity layout, production scale, order delivery (directly sourced from SMM's industry database), and technological investment, and introducing third-party institutions (such as Dun & Bradstreet and SGS) to verify data authenticity, ensuring the list is "zero inflated," SMM selected the "2025 SMM Lithium Battery Core Equipment Tier 1 Suppliers (Drying and Crystallization)" list. The grand award ceremony was held during the banquet of the 2025 (10th) New Energy Industry Expo, hosted by SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. (SMM).

Cost Push or Supply-Demand Restructuring?—The Real Logic Behind Iron Phosphate Price Increases in April
Iron phosphate negotiations in April were deadlocked, with offers hitting 13,000 yuan/mt. The price surge appeared raw-material driven, but in fact reflected pricing power shifting upstream after a reversal in supply-demand fundamentals. Downstream buyers cited “cost increases” to push back, yet conveniently forgot the upstream losses quietly absorbed over the past three years. This was never about simple cost pass-through—it was a restructuring of profit distribution across the chain.

Sungrow: The Global Energy Storage Market Is Expected to Grow by 30–50 in 2026
At a conference call on March 31, Sungrow stated regarding the company’s overall target plan for energy storage shipments in 2026 that the global market is expected to grow by 30–50 in 2026. With raw material prices rising, some projects were in a wait-and-see stage, but the demand should still exist and would only be deferred. The company will strive based on the upper end of market growth, hoping to achieve more than 60 Gwh.
