[SMM Tin Flash: SHFE tin plunges in night session, LME tin falls over 4%]
SHFE tin fell sharply in the night session, with LME tin also dropping more than 4%. After the sharp decline in futures, sentiment among suppliers in the spot market diverged: some traders chose to sell at lower prices due to liquidity pressure, while other suppliers remained willing to hold prices firm, and the tight supply of available cargoes persisted. Downstream purchasing was cautious, dominated by small orders for immediate needs, and trading volume fell noticeably from the previous day; several traders reported completing shipments, and imported tin cargoes were essentially sold out. After the morning session opened, small-brand tin ingot was mostly quoted at a premium of 4,500 yuan/mt against the December contract, deliverable-brand tin ingot was quoted at a premium of around 5,000 yuan/mt, and YT brand was quoted at a high premium of 6,000-7,000 yuan/mt.
