Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 16, SAIC Motor and Huawei jointly unveiled a new vehicle brand, SAIC (dubbed "Shangjie" in Chinese Pinyin), during the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance ("HIMA") new product launch event, according to a press release from SAIC Motor.

Developed under Huawei's Smart Selection model, SAIC brand targets the mainstream market as the latest addition to the Harmony mobility ecosystem, blending technological innovation with consumer-focused design.

The new brand results from an end-to-end collaboration between the two companies, covering all aspects from product planning and design to intelligent cockpit development, smart driving systems, manufacturing, sales, and service. Through this integrated partnership, SAIC Motor and Huawei aim to explore new possibilities in advancing intelligent vehicle technologies and business models.

SAIC Motor, leveraging its 70 years of automotive expertise and a user base nearing 100 million, has pledged full support for SAIC brand by consolidating its top-tier resources. It has assembled a team of over 5,000 staff members to work alongside Huawei engineers, ensuring robust capabilities across development, operations, and technical delivery from the outset.

SAIC brand is positioned around four pillarsstyle, technology, trust, and inclusivity. The brand embraces a minimalist and cohesive design language, while offering a modern, elegant appearance. Backed by Huawei's smart mobility solutions, it promises an intelligent and seamless travel experience. With a focus on high safety and reliability, the brand aims to deliver stylish, high-quality products that meet everyday needs and enhance the mobility experience for a broad consumer base.
