Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 15, GAC Honda officially put its P7 all-electric SUV onto the market, marking the first model built on Honda's "Architecture W" developed exclusively for BEV (battery electric vehicle) models. The P7 is available in three variants, whose no-bargain prices stand between 199,900 yuan and 249,900 yuan.

The exterior design of the P7 blends futuristic, mech-inspired aesthetics with a wide, low-slung body. A seamless body design enhances aerodynamic efficiency, while the closed-off front grille is paired with a full-width LED light bar.

The vehicle also debuts Honda's latest emblem and features a blacked-out multi-slat lower bumper for added visual depth.

In terms of size, the GAC Honda's P7 measures 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. The space utilization rate stands at an impressive 85.8%.

Inside, the vehicle features a 1.85-square-meter smart panoramic sunroof with 95% infrared and 99.9% UV blocking, ensuring comfort and privacy for passengers.

The interior is equipped with Honda CONNECT 4.0, an AI-powered voice assistant capable of wake-free, multi-turn conversations, regional dialect recognition, and precise four-zone voice control. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, Baidu CarLife, and Siri-based hands-free interaction.

The P7 also introduces the segment's first dual headrest BOSE audio system in the front row, with 16 speakers delivering immersive surround sound.

The model comes with both single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. Of those, the AWD version produces 150 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear, with peak torque of 350 N·m and 420 N·m respectively, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.6 seconds.

The RWD and AWD versions feature a CLTC-rated range of 650km and 620km, respectively.

GAC Honda added that a newly developed integrated high-power electric motor on the P7 model achieves up to 97.5% efficiency, while the controller reaches 98.5%. An intelligent heat pump system improves cold-weather efficiency by 5%, maintaining more than 86.8% of battery capacity even at -30°C.

On the intelligent safety front, the enhanced Honda SENSING 360+ includes features such as Honda CoPilot Pro for highway navigation assistance, driver abnormality response, and door-opening collision warnings—delivering a more intuitive and human-centric driving experience.

[Solid-State Battery: Sinocera Materials Constructs Automated Production Line for Sulfide Solid Electrolyte, Initial Mass Production Capability Established] On August 5, 2026, Sinocera Materials stated at an analyst meeting that as the industrialisation of all-solid-state batteries advances, sulfide solid electrolytes, due to advantages such as high ionic conductivity, have become a core critical material. The company has completed the construction of an automated production line for sulfide solid electrolyte, with initial mass production capacity established, and product quality has been highly recognized by clients. The company is closely supporting the industrialisation process of key downstream clients, and will subsequently plan the expansion pace reasonably based on changes in market demand and the industrialisation progress of downstream clients, collaboratively promoting the commercial implementation of all-solid-state batteries. This marks an important period for China's sulfide solid electrolyte sector transitioning from “laboratory samples” to “production line bulk supply,” filling a critical jigsaw piece for large-scale mass production in the upstream key material segment of the all-solid-state battery industry chain.

[Solid-State Battery: Crown Advanced Materials Completes Client Sample Trial of Solid-State Battery Aluminum-Plastic Film, Significantly Enhancing High-Temperature Resistance] On August 5, 2026, Crown Advanced Materials stated, while responding to investor inquiries on an interactive platform, that the company had strengthened the R&D of solid-state battery aluminum-plastic film in response to market demand and had completed client sample trials. The R&D team for the aluminum-plastic film addressed the high-temperature resistance needs of solid-state batteries by selecting a modified resin that withstands 120°C for the composite bonding material, which improved the interlayer peel strength by over 40% in an 85°C temperature environment and by over 50% in a 120°C temperature environment. This ensures the stability of the product's interlayer peel strength under high temperatures, providing a new technical solution for solid-state battery packaging materials.
