Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 26, GAC Honda held a ceremony to mark the completion of its New Development District New Energy Vehicle Factory in Guangzhou, and the rollout of its all-electric model, the P7. As a key base for Honda's electrification strategy in China, the plant integrates global expertise with local innovation to accelerate its expansion in the NEV market.
With a total investment of 3.5 billion yuan and an annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles, the new plant features over 30 globally leading technologies, 50 domestically leading processes, and nearly 60 first-time applications of Honda's global technologies.
To ensure both advanced technology and high-quality standards, GAC Honda has partnered with leading suppliers such as Bosch, Panasonic, CATL, and iFlytek to support the P7's core technologies.
As the first model built on Honda's e:N Architecture W all-electric vehicle platform, the P7 adopts the "Razor Edge" design language, featuring an illuminated Honda H emblem, V-shaped hidden door handles, and electronic side mirrors. It boasts a 2,930mm wheelbase, rear seats adjustable from 10 to 18 degrees, and front seats with BOSE audio-equipped dual headrests, smart heating for all seats, and double-layer soundproof glass.
In terms of intelligent features, the P7 is equipped with Honda Connect 4.0, supporting wireless CarPlay, HiCar, and CarLife, and integrating an AI large model platform for the first time. The Honda SENSING 360+ system includes multiple cameras, radars, and sensors, enabling L2+ driver assistance functions such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), blind spot monitoring (BSI), collision mitigation braking (CMBS), intelligent parking assist, and lane tracking with curve departure warnings.
The P7 offers both single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. Powered by a custom 90kWh CATL ternary lithium battery, it achieves a maximum CLTC range of 650km.
