Recently, the Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission released an announcement soliciting opinions on the "Guangzhou Measures for the Administration of Funds to Support Hydrogen Energy Industry Development." The announcement states that financial rewards will be given to enterprises that earn points for "key component R&D industrialisation" in the national fuel cell vehicle demonstration city cluster assessment for Guangzhou. Rewards are based on the national comprehensive evaluation reward points, with a principle of 50,000 yuan per point, and the total reward from central, provincial, and municipal levels for similar products of each enterprise shall not exceed 50 million yuan. For innovative consortia that pass the project review organized by the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, each will receive a subsidy of 20 million yuan. For light hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (with a gross weight less than 4.5 mt), medium hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (with a gross weight of 4.5 mt or more but less than 12 mt), and heavy hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (with a gross weight of 12 mt or more) whose data is connected to the national, provincial, and municipal fuel cell vehicle demonstration application information platforms, operational subsidies will be provided at rates of 0.5 yuan/km, 1 yuan/km, and 2.5 yuan/km respectively for the highest mileage driven within each calendar year, with any distance less than 1 km being counted as 1 km. The maximum annual subsidy for each of the above three car models is 20,000 yuan, 40,000 yuan, and 100,000 yuan per unit respectively.
