On March 6, the Zhenjiang Development and Reform Commission of Jiangsu Province issued a notice to solicit public opinions on the "Policies and Measures to Accelerate the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development (Draft for Comments)."

The notice pointed out the need to strategically plan for emerging future industries such as artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, new-type energy storage, and hydrogen energy, and to support Danyang City, the Economic Development Zone, and the High-Tech Zone in actively striving to become provincial-level pilot zones for future industries.

Orderly development of distributed wind power projects will be carried out, with localized development of biomass energy and geothermal energy. Efforts will be made to accelerate the deployment of a number of sustainable fuel projects and actively promote the full-chain development of hydrogen energy, including production, storage, transportation, and utilization. The implementation of the three major initiatives—"Green Electricity into Zhenjiang," "Green Electricity into Parks," and "Green Electricity into Enterprises"—will also be advanced.

Efforts will be intensified to promote renewable energy substitution, with a focus on deep integration of renewable energy into industries such as steel, chemicals, building materials, and paper manufacturing. Technologies such as electric boilers, electric kilns, and electric heating will be promoted, while green processes like green hydrogen refining and hydrogen smelting will be actively explored.
