[SMM Weekly Maintenance Statistics] According to SMM statistics, the impact from blast furnace maintenance on pig iron this week (February 22 to February 28) was 1.6742 million mt, up 51,500 mt WoW. Next week (March 1 to March 7), the impact from blast furnace maintenance on pig iron is expected to be 1.7172 million mt, up 43,000 mt WoW.

For construction materials, the impact from maintenance this week was 1.6434 million mt, up 60,900 mt WoW. Next week, the impact on construction materials is expected to be 1.4652 million mt, down 178,200 mt WoW.

For hot-rolled products, the impact from maintenance this week was 129,500 mt, up 94,500 mt WoW. Next week, the impact on hot-rolled products is expected to be 167,100 mt, up 37,600 mt WoW.

MMi Daily Iron Ore Report (September 23)

Today, the iron ore futures market traded in a narrow range. The DCE main contract I2701 closed at 712 yuan/mt, up 0.07% from the previous trading day. Spot prices rose by 0-3 yuan/mt compared with yesterday, with traders' quotations relatively firm; steel mills purchased on a need-to-buy basis, and spot market trading sentiment was sluggish.
