Ionic Rare Earths (ASX:IXR) has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with South Korea's DNA Link (KOSDAQ:127120) to deepen their collaboration in the fields of rare earth permanent magnet recycling and rare earth oxide supply.
To this end, Ionic, DNA Link, and its wholly-owned subsidiary Ionic Technologies will work together to establish a secure, sustainable, and traceable rare earth supply chain in South Korea.
Under the memorandum of understanding, the parties will recycle the cuttings from DNA Link's plant in South Korea through Ionic Technologies and develop potential rare earth oxides (REO) at the magnet recycling facility in Belfast to support DNA Link's production of new-type NdFeB permanent magnets in South Korea.
