Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC AION, a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer under GAC Group, officially put its key models, the AION V and the HYPTEC HT, onto the Cambodian market, according to a post released on January 21 via the company's WeChat account.

The AION V, touted by the company as a "New Adaptive Electric SUV," has a range of 650km. It offers premium features such as 8-point massage seats, an intelligent refrigerator, smart voice control systems, and a robust in-car application ecosystem. Since hitting the Thai market at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo in November last year, the model has become a hotter-selling product for local people.

The HYPTEC HT is a premium pure electric SUV that integrates cutting-edge technology with artistic design. It is uniquely equipped for the Cambodian market with gullwing-style doors. The model has a 670km range, a luxury cabin, a large panoramic sunroof with electric sunshades, and fast charging capabilities.

Up to now, GAC AION has expanded into nine countries including Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

As GAC AION's first overseas market, Thailand has seen the company's deepening presence. In July 2024, GAC AION completed construction of its Thailand smart factory, which is the company's first electric vehicle manufacturing base outside of China. Additionally, it launched Thailand's first international talent cultivation center. This facility integrates theoretical education, hands-on training, and technological R&D, providing Thai students and professionals with world-class educational resources in new energy vehicle technology. It aims to establish a globally leading talent cultivation hub for the new energy vehicle industry.
