[SMM Lead Weekly Review: Lead Prices Ended Fluctuating Downward, Smelter Inventory Declined with Reduced Transactions] In the spot market, this week SMM 1# lead prices ranged between 16,475-16,675 yuan/mt. In the spot market, smelter supply in Henan Province remained stable. Influenced by concerns over logistics and transportation around the Chinese New Year, downstream long-term contract cargo pick-up increased in advance, leading to some smelters' inventories being sold out.

In the spot market, the SMM 1# lead price operated at 16,475-16,675 yuan/mt this week. In the spot market, smelter supply in Henan remained stable. Under concerns about logistics and transportation before and after the Chinese New Year, downstream long-term contract cargo pick-up increased, and some smelters' inventories were sold out. Compared with last week, suppliers slightly lowered their quotes to near parity with the SMM 1# lead price this week. In Hunan, crude lead supply recovered, and primary lead supply slightly eased. However, downstream pre-holiday restocking was nearing completion, with only limited just-in-time procurement. Spot premiums in this region slightly declined to 160-180 yuan/mt. In Guangdong and Yunnan, spot market supply remained tight. Major smelters in Guangdong had not resumed production and maintained pre-sale quotes this week, while in Yunnan, primary lead with tax was quoted at premiums of 0-100 yuan/mt, with suppliers standing firm on quotes and reluctant to sell. In the trade market, circulating supply in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai continued to decline at the beginning of the week, with fewer quotes. By the weekend, quotes rose to premiums of 20-80 yuan/mt. Pre-holiday centralized restocking of lead ingot raw materials gradually ended, and primary lead spot transactions turned sluggish. Additionally, the secondary refined lead market saw weak trading on both ends this week. By the weekend, some suppliers offered discounts of 50 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price for ex-factory sales to expedite transactions, while other secondary refined lead quotes were at premiums of 0-100 yuan/mt against the SMM 1# lead average price for ex-factory sales.

Chengtun Mining: Subsidiary Plans to Acquire 65% Equity in Tibet Haiteng Industrial for 709 Million Yuan
Chengtun Mining announced in an evening filing that its subsidiary Sichuan Shengfengyuan Mining Co., Ltd. plans to acquire 65% equity in Tibet Haiteng Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tibet Haiteng Industrial") held by Liu Zongjun for 708.5 million yuan. Upon completion of the transaction, Tibet Haiteng Industrial will become a controlled subsidiary of the company and be included in the company's consolidated financial statements. According to the announcement, Tibet Haiteng Industrial holds the exploration right for the "Bagala (East) Lead-Zinc Mine Exploration in Mozhugongka County and Linzhou County, Lhasa, Tibet." The right was first established in 2003 and has undergone multiple renewals and changes. The new license was issued on August 28, 2026, with a validity period from July 28, 2026 to July 27, 2031, covering an exploration area of 42.0668 square kilometers. According to the exploration report issued by the Northwest Geological Exploration Institute of China Metallurgical Geology Bureau on September 30, 2025, in addition to lead and zinc resources, the identified silver metal content has reached the standard for a large-scale silver mine in China. The company stated: The silver metal content of the silver-lead-zinc mine to be acquired has reached the scale of a large deposit, while lead and zinc are both medium-sized deposits. The grades of silver, lead, and zinc are moderate, and the ore quality is relatively good. Upon completion of the acquisition, the company's resource ownership of silver, lead, zinc, and other metals will be effectively increased, further optimizing the company's mineral resource portfolio, expanding future development space, and enhancing core competitiveness and risk resilience. The acquisition aligns with the company's long-term development strategy, is conducive to consolidating the company's comprehensive competitive strength in the non-ferrous metals mining sector, and serves the long-term and overall interests of the company and all shareholders.
