Price CenterDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightWebstock Inc., citing foreign media on January 15, reported that the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco) stated on Wednesday that Chile will increase its copper production to 5.54 million mt by 2034, a 5.6% growth compared to 2023.
Chile is the world's largest copper producer.
Cochilco noted that in 2024, Chile's copper production will account for 23.6% of the global total.
It added that this share will only increase, reaching 27.3% of the industry by 2034.
