Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On the first day of 2025, Chinese smart electric vehicle maker XPeng Inc. ("XPENG" or the "Company") announced its latest delivery performance, marking a record-breaking monthly delivery volume for the fourth consecutive month.

In December 2024, XPENG delivered 36,695 vehicles, an 82% year-on-year surge and a 19% month-on-month growth. The XPENG MONA M03 model accounted for over 15,000 units, while the XPENG P7+ recorded deliveries of more than 10,000 units.

For the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024, XPENG achieved a record quarterly delivery of 91,507 vehicles, exceeding the upper limit of its Q4 delivery guidance.

XPENG's annual deliveries in 2024 reached 190,068 units, a 34% increase over the prior year.

The MONA M03 model continued its robust growth in December, logged deliveries of over 15,000 units, marking the fourth straight month of deliveries exceeding 10,000 units. Just four months after its market launch, the 50,000th MONA M03 rolled off the production line in December, setting a new record as XPENG's fastest production rollout. XPENG said its factory has significantly accelerated production capabilities, now capable of rolling out one MONA M03 car every 72 seconds.

The Company also delivered over 10,000 units of the XPENG P7+ in December. The month saw the second major over-the-air (OTA) update for the P7+ model, with the XPENG XOS 5.5.0 entering public testing. This update introduced a groundbreaking "car-to-parking" software feature with seamless, high-capability full-scene functionality. This OTA marked XPENG's 373rd OTA update for 2024.

As for overseas business expansion, XPENG achieved a significant milestone in December, delivering its 10,000th vehicle in Europe, specifically in Ebersberg, Germany. The Company also opened its first flagship store in Australia and began large-scale shipments of the XPENG G6 to the Australian market.

On January 1, 2025, XPENG celebrated the one-year anniversary for the market launch of its high-end all-electric MPV, the XPENG X9. The model has achieved cumulative sales of 21,642 units, with 12 OTA updates rolled out throughout the year of 2024.

[SMM Daily Comment: Spot Lithium Carbonate Price Edges Up on July 29] SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate spot price edged up today from the previous working day. In the futures market, the lithium carbonate 2609 contract opened flat at 143,500 yuan/mt today, briefly dipped to 142,500 yuan/mt after opening, then found support. Bulls continued to enter, pushing prices up in a volatile manner. The contract shot up to 149,400 yuan/mt in the morning session, then faced bearish selling pressure and pulled back. Around midday, bulls and bears tussled repeatedly in the 147,000–148,500 yuan/mt range. In the afternoon, bulls consolidated at highs, with prices moving sideways above the average price line (146,600 yuan/mt). The contract consolidated at highs into the close, ending near 147,600 yuan/mt, and finally closed up 2.07% at 147,600 yuan/mt, with open interest decreasing by 11,126 lots. In the spot market, as prices fluctuated upward, downstream users purchased as needed on dips, mostly staying cautious. Upstream lithium chemical plants continued to hold prices firm and hold back from selling, with some still anchoring their spot order willingness-to-sell price above 160,000 yuan/mt. Overall, inquiries and actual transactions remained relatively stable.
