As the Chinese New Year holiday approaches, galvanising enterprises are gradually planning their holiday arrangements. According to an SMM survey, this survey covered 29 companies with a total capacity of 25.04 million mt. The average holiday duration is expected to be around 14 days, approximately 7 days shorter than last year. The main reason is that overall demand has been relatively delayed this year, with robust orders in November and December. Although demand has shown a seasonal pullback, the operating rates are still better than the same period in previous years. Moreover, most enterprises do not plan for significant stockpiling, leading to an earlier resumption of operations after the holiday. Currently, these are preliminary plans, and many enterprises will adjust based on specific orders in January. SMM will continue to monitor the Chinese New Year holiday arrangements of galvanising enterprises.
