In November 2024, China's flake graphite import volume reached 3,159 mt, up 663% MoM and up 58% YoY.

In November 2024, China's flake graphite import volume reached 3,159 mt, up 663% MoM and up 58% YoY.

In November 2024, due to the previously sluggish flake graphite import volumes and the low operating rate at domestic mines, domestic inventory levels remained low. With the current improvement in downstream demand, many enterprises increased raw material purchases to ensure supply. It is expected that flake graphite import volumes may drop back slightly in December.

In November 2024, China's flake graphite export volume was 8,466 mt, up 53% MoM but down 64% YoY; spherical graphite export volume was 4,775 mt, up 83% MoM but down 61% YoY.

In November 2024, driven by overseas political developments and changes in China's graphite material export tax rebate rates, overseas customers showed strong stockpiling sentiment. The significant growth in downstream demand in November boosted natural graphite exports. In December, overseas customers' stockpiling sentiment is expected to remain strong, keeping natural graphite exports at high levels.

Baota Mountain Converter Station's AC System Energized, Marking Key Milestone in UHV Project
On February 5, the AC system of the Baota Mountain Converter Station, the sending - end station of the ±800 kV North Shaanxi - Anhui UHV DC power transmission project, was successfully energized for the first time. This marks that the AC system of the converter station has entered the startup commissioning stage, and the entire AC system of the project is expected to be put into operation before the Spring Festival. It is reported that the rated voltage of the North Shaanxi - Anhui UHV project is ±800 kV, with a rated capacity of 8 million kilowatts, and a dynamic investment of 20.5 billion yuan. The project starts from the Baota Mountain Converter Station in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, and ends at the Hezhou Converter Station in Hefei City, Anhui Province. It passes through three provi

World's First Multi-Source DC Project in Jiangsu Completes Phase II, Boosts Cross-River Power Transmission
On February 12, the second - phase project of the ±200 kV DC power transmission project from Yangzhou to Zhenjiang in Jiangsu, which is the world's first multi - source commutated DC power transmission project and China's first AC - DC hybrid cross - river project, was completed and put into operation. The project's transmission line is about 228 kilometers long, with a transmission capacity of 1.2 million kilowatts. It passes through three cities (Huai'an, Yangzhou, and Zhenjiang) and seven counties. Among them, a 47 - kilometer new - built DC transmission line is erected on the same tower as the 500 kV AC line, and two new converter stations are built. Without adding a new cross - Yangtze - River power transmission channel, the original cross - river power transmission capacity has been
