During the April-October period of the 2024-25 fiscal year, India's bauxite production increased by 11.3% YoY, reaching 13.8 million mt, up from 12.4 million mt in the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, primary aluminum production also saw a YoY increase of 1.2%, reaching 2.446 million mt, compared to 2.417 million mt the previous year. Additionally, copper cathode production grew by 6%, reaching 300,000 mt, up from 283,000 mt in the previous fiscal year. Iron ore production increased by 4.1% YoY, reaching 158.4 million mt, compared to 152.1 million mt in the previous fiscal year. Manganese ore production grew by 11.1%, reaching 2 million mt, up from 1.8 million mt in the previous fiscal year. These growth trends clearly reflect strong demand in India's energy, infrastructure, construction, automotive, and machinery sectors.
