Beijing (Gasgoo)- On November 14, Chery's Fulwin new energy vehicle range unveiled the official images of its upcoming model, the Jinyun (name in Chinese pinyin), an all-scenario sports MPV (SMPV) designed for versatility and adaptability across various scenarios.
The Jinyun will make its official debut at the upcoming Auto Guangzhou 2024.
The Jinyun's exterior adopts a futuristic look, featuring a full-width lighting array at the front for enhanced visual impact, while its minimalist design accentuates a high-tech appeal. At the rear, the model includes an extendable travel trunk with a modular seat and a 1.3m² high-definition panoramic rear window, designed to enhance outdoor usability.
Inside, the Jinyun offers 180-degree rotating seats, a modular front box adaptable for use as a bench seat, kitchen setup, BBQ stand, or storage unit, with the second and third rows capable of folding flat for flexible space. For safety, it comes equipped with remote airbags and rear airbags as standard.
The model integrates Chery's advanced CPilot5.0 smart driving system, which supports highway and urban navigation on autopilot (NOA), comprehensive parking assistance, and boasts over 30 active safety functions. This is achieved with onboard computational power of 1,000 TOPS, AI-powered environment scanning, and real-time information exchange.
Under the hood, the Jinyun runs on the seventh-generation Kunpeng C-DM high-efficiency hybrid system, combining a 2.0T engine with 3DHT and dual vector motors for a total range of 2,500 km. Additional features include adjustable dual-chamber air suspension, in-place U-turn capability, crab-walk mode, and sand escape mode. The vehicle's transparent solar-powered roof rack provides energy for the entire vehicle, further boosting its eco-friendly credentials.
