Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On November 4, 2024, Geely Auto offered the world the first glimpse of its Galaxy Starship 7 model in Shanghai, which is positioned as a midsized SUV that embodies Galaxy range's signature design language. This latest release incorporates Geely's next-generation NordThor EM-i Super Hybrid technology, combining a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a plug-in hybrid system.

The new model is set to hit the market later this year.

The Galaxy Starship 7's exterior showcases a sleek, tech-focused aesthetic. The front features a closed-off grille and a striking, star-ringed LED light strip that spans the vehicle's width, creating a highly recognizable look. Vent-inspired designs on either side of the front bumper form an "X" shape with the grille, enhancing its bold appearance. Muscular lines along the hood add to the SUV's aggressive stance.

Viewed from the side, the vehicle's dynamic shoulder line carries the sporty front styling to the rear, while a gently sloping roofline ensures ample headroom in the back seats.

The rear is accented by a full-width taillight, enhancing the model's modern, athletic feel.

In terms of size, the Galaxy Starship 7 measures 4,740mm in length, 1,905mm in width, and 1,685mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,755mm.

Inside, the Starship 7 adopts a clean T-shaped design in the front space, featuring flat lines across the center console for a minimalist look. Key interior elements include a dual-spoke flat-bottomed multifunctional steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large central touchscreen, a full-width air vent, floating speakers, ambient lighting, and wireless phone charging—all contributing to a tech-forward atmosphere.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Starship 7 is powered by Geely's latest NordThor EM-i super hybrid technology, which pairs a 1.5L engine with a plug-in hybrid system optimized for maximum fuel efficiency. The engine boasts an impressive thermal efficiency of 46.5% and a maximum power output of 82kW. Battery options include 19.09kWh and 28.94kWh packs, providing a range of 101km and 150km, respectively. According to Geely, when fully fueled and charged, the vehicle achieves a combined range of up to 1,430 kilometers.
