Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 27, Chery's Jetour brand officially put its latest plug-in hybrid electric off-road SUV, the Shanhai T1, onto the market. Available in three variants named "To the Mountain," "To the Lake," and "To the Sea", the Shanhai T1 features a price range from 154,800 yuan to 174,800 yuan.

The Shanhai T1 showcases a robust, boxy design that combines European luxury with a touch of Eastern natural aesthetic. Built on Chery’s Kunpeng C-DM hybrid electric technology, the T1 is equipped with a specialized hybrid battery offering up to 150 km of  range on battery power alone and fuel consumption of just 5.89L per 100 km when the battery is depleted.

The SUV boasts a roomy interior, featuring an adaptive ventilated seating system that adjusts airflow based on occupant weight, while the ergonomically designed seats promise comfort over long distances. With a wheelbase of 2,810 mm and a fully flat rear floor, folding down the rear seats creates a nearly 2-meter flatbed for versatile use.

Designed for off-road conditions, the Shanhai T1 provides a 28° approach angle, a 29° departure angle, a minimum ground clearance of 200 mm, and a wading depth of 600 mm, making it capable of tackling a wide variety of rugged terrains. This model aims to meet extensive off-roading needs, from mountain climbing to river crossing, delivering a robust experience for adventurous drivers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
