REPT BATTERO, CATRC inaugurate joint lab for new energy battery innovation

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 23, 2024, REPT BATTERO and the New Energy Inspection Center ("NERIC") of the China Automotive Technology & Research Centre ("CATRC") officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This partnership marks the establishment of a joint innovation lab dedicated to new energy batteries.

REPT BATTERO said the collaboration aligns with China's national "dual carbon" strategy, aimed at supporting global energy transition efforts. Through this initiative, both parties will deepen their cooperation in the field of new energy batteries, leveraging their respective resources and expertise to maximize their collective impact.

During the visit to REPT BATTERO, Wang Fang, Chief Scientist at CATRC, delivered a presentation titled "Technological Innovations and Application Challenges for Vehicle Power Batteries." She highlighted that the current direction of innovation in power batteries focuses on enhancing performance, lifespan, and safety to meet automotive demands. This requires comprehensive upgrades in battery chemistry, structure, and safety design.

REPT BATTERO has developed a robust product lineup centered around its WENDING technology. The company has made significant advancements in areas such as cell materials, thermal management, and electrochemical systems. Its research into cell materials spans a range of technologies, including LFP, LMFP, HV-NCM, and HN-NCM, all aimed at significantly improving battery safety through WENDING's technical innovations.
