SMM Reports Stable Zinc Ingot Inventories Across Seven Regions; Slight Variations in Shanghai, Guangdong, and Tianjin

[SMM Data] SMM News on October 24: According to SMM research, as of Thursday (October 24), the total inventory of zinc ingots in seven regions tracked by SMM reached 125,900 tonnes, an increase of 4,100 tonnes from October 17 and remaining flat compared with October 21, with domestic inventories remaining stable. In Shanghai, inventories increased slightly, with limited arrivals at warehouses during the week. Coupled with the high zinc prices and poor procurement by downstream enterprises, the overall inventory remained largely unchanged. In Guangdong, inventories decreased slightly as arrivals decreased during the week. With rigid demand from downstream enterprises, overall inventories declined slightly. In Tianjin, inventories also decreased. Although galvanized enterprises experienced a decline in raw material demand due to environmental protection measures, the impact of transportation persisted, resulting in fewer arrivals in Tianjin during the week and an overall decline in inventories. Overall, inventories in the original three regions decreased by 900 tonnes, while inventories in the seven regions remained flat compared with the previous week.
