Beijing (Gasgoo)- Great Wall Motor's TANK brand recently celebrated two key milestones: the global sales of the TANK 500 SUV surpassed 100,000 units, and the TANK 500 Hi4-T Black Warrior Edition was officially released to the market at 345,000 yuan.

Historically, China’s off-road vehicle market has been dominated by foreign brands like the Toyota Prado and Jeep Wrangler, with domestic brands playing a minimal role. However, since the launch of the TANK 300 in December 2020, the market share of Chinese indigenous off-road vehicles has surged from 47.7% to 83.1%, revitalizing China's off-road segment.

The TANK brand has challenged the dominance of foreign brands, shifting consumer focus toward the true value of vehicles rather than paying for brand premiums. This has enhanced the perception of "high-quality, all-terrain mobility" among Chinese off-road enthusiasts.

Since its inception, TANK’s cumulative sales volume has exceeded 500,000 units, showcasing the brand's strong product development. The TANK 500, positioned as a mid-to-large luxury off-road SUV, reached the 100,000-unit sales mark in just 32 months.

The newly launched TANK 500 Hi4-T Black Warrior Edition has drawn significant market attention, featuring blacked-out details on the grille and logo. Great Wall Motor plans to continue its innovation efforts, launching more models tailored to market demands and expanding the global influence of China's off-road vehicle brands.
