Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 17, Shineray Motors and BWI Group officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, focusing on advancing innovations in intelligent chassis systems, according to a post on BWI Group's WeChat account. The partnership aims to accelerate the development and deployment of domain-controlled chassis technologies.

The collaboration centers on the advancement of cutting-edge products for chassis systems, including BWI's signature MagneRide® magnetorheological dampers, AeroRide air suspension, the iDBC1 integrated brake-by-wire system (1-Box), electromechanical brake systems (EMB), as well as intelligent fully active and semi-active suspension systems, and advanced intelligent chassis domain control systems.

Shineray Motors is a vehicle manufacturer with a comprehensive R&D, production, and sales framework. BWI Group, a longtime leader in intelligent chassis technology, continues to push the automotive industry forward through constant innovation. By combining Shineray Motors expertise in vehicle innovation and intelligent manufacturing with BWI's leading intelligent chassis technologies and products, the partnership aims to attract more consumers and unlock new market opportunities.

According to BWI Group, the collaboration highlights several key technologies from BWI Group. To be specific, the MagneRide® damper, a unique global technology in mass production for 20 years, are now in its fourth generation, adjusting up to 1,000 times per second, and will go into domestic production in 2025. The AeroRide air suspension leads the industry with a 150mm body adjustment range. The iDBC1 integrated brake-by-wire system (1-Box) complies with ASPICE/ASIL-D safety standards and offers an optimal L2 ADAS solution. BWIs electromechanical brake system (EMB), featuring a fully redundant, all-dry design, supports advanced autonomous driving systems at L4 and beyond. The intelligent chassis domain control system, utilizing a combination of hardware, software, and centralized electrical architecture, further enhances performance and smart capabilities by transforming functional software into market-ready products.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
