Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 14, during the opening day of the Paris Motor Show 2024, Chinese new energy vehicle maker Leapmotor hosted its global strategy launch event under the theme "A Leap Forward."

At the event, Leapmotor's founder and chairman, Zhu Jiangming, introduced the company’s all-new B Series and the new series’ first global model, the B10. Mr. Zhu emphasized that the new B Series represents a key milestone in Leapmotor's global expansion strategy. The B Series is built on Leapmotor's latest LEAP3.5 technology architecture, featuring an intelligent cockpit powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, advanced autonomous driving capabilities supported by Qualcomm’s 8650 chip and LiDAR sensors, and a design that blends cutting-edge global aesthetics. Notably, the chassis was fine-tuned in collaboration with Maserati's team at Stellantis Group, with the vehicle developed to meet European standards, targeting young consumers worldwide who seek intelligence, style, fun, and quality.

Stellantis Group CEO, Carlos Tavares, highlighted the significance of the partnership between Stellantis and Leapmotor, noting that Leapmotor is one of China’s fastest-growing and most impressive EV startups. He praised Leapmotor's strengths in areas such as world-class EV technology, its unique self-research and development model, and comprehensive production capabilities. Tavares reaffirmed Stellantis' commitment to supporting Leapmotor’s global expansion, aiming to deliver intelligent, clean, safe, and affordable electric vehicles to more customers worldwide, contributing to the fight against global warming.

In May 2024, Leapmotor and Stellantis Group formed a joint venture, Leapmotor International, to spearhead the brand's global expansion. During the launch event, Leapmotor International’s CEO, Xin Tianshu, provided updates on the company’s global growth. Leapmotor International now operates more than 200 dealerships across 13 European countries, with plans to expand to 500 sales points by the end of 2025. Additionally, Leapmotor intends to extend its reach to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America starting in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The event’s theme, "A Leap Forward," reflects Leapmotor's rapid development. In September 2024, Leapmotor delivered 33,767 vehicles, marking a 94.6% year-on-year surge.
