Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 8, 2024, BYD held an opening ceremony for nine new stores in Bekasi, Indonesia, marking a significant step in the company's expansion within the Indonesian electric vehicle (EV) market, according to a post on BYD's WeChat account. This move not only strengthens BYD's market presence in Indonesia but also enhances customer access to after-sales services across different regions.
With the addition of these nine stores, BYD now operates 26 stores in Indonesia. The company aims to establish 50 stores across 15 major cities in the country, expanding its dealership network. This strategy is designed to improve the accessibility of BYD's electric vehicles while also showcasing the investment commitment of Arista Group in Indonesia's growing EV sector.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division, emphasized Indonesia's importance as a key market for the company. "Indonesia has always been one of BYD's critical markets. Our success in leading the global electric vehicle revolution is evident in the growing interest in EVs among the Indonesian public. With these newly opened stores, BYD remains dedicated to offering top-notch service in every store, supporting the shift to a sustainable era of electric mobility, and providing Indonesian consumers with the best driving experience," said Mr. Liu.
BYD Indonesia's General Manager, Zhao Yue, reiterated the company's commitment to supporting the growth of Indonesia's EV industry.
