Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 9, Changan Auto’s new energy vehicle range NEVO officially opened pre-orders for the new Zhenxiang Edition (name in Chinese pinyin) of the A05 and Q05 models.

As part of the launch, NEVO is offering attractive incentives for early buyers, including a governmental trade-in subsidy of up to 20,000 yuan and an additional 2,500-yuan replacement subsidy from the carmaker for the A05, while Q05 buyers can receive the same national trade-in subsidy and a 4,000-yuan manufacturer bonus. These models, along with the A07 Zhenxiang Edition, are expected to be officially hit the market in mid-October.

The key highlight of the NEVO A05 and Q05 Zhenxiang Edition is the integration of Changan’s advanced BlueCore 3.0 hybrid system. Additionally, both models boast refreshed exteriors and interiors.

In terms of smart features, the A05 and Q05 Zhenxiang models come equipped with intelligent technologies such as IACC adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, and a 540-degree panoramic HD camera system.

The A05 Zhenxiang Edition offers a CLTC-rated battery-powered range of 145 km, with a combined range of 1,300 km, and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% state of charge in just 19 minutes. The Q05 Zhenxiang Edition features a 125 km battery-powered range and 1,215 km combined range, with fast charging to 80% of its battery capacity in 22 minutes. Both models promise impressive fuel efficiency, with the A05 consuming 4.26L/100km on fuel and 0.96L/100km combined (WLTC), while the Q05 offers 5.22L/100km and 1.31L/100km combined (WLTC).

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
