Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On October 8, Chinese new energy vehicle maker NETA Auto made a significant debut in Central Asia by officially launching its popular model, the NETA X, in Uzbekistan, accompanied by a delivery ceremony for the first group of local owners.

NETA Auto emphasized that the NETA X, designed with a forward-thinking approach to automotive aesthetics, is tailored for young families. The car combines dynamic, mech-inspired design elements with a range of customizable colors, reflecting a youthful and sporty style. Additionally, the NETA X has been equipped with a charging port specifically designed for the region, allowing fast charging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, with a full charge offering a range of up to 480 kilometers. The car's body, composed of 75% high-strength steel, provides robust safety features for both drivers and passengers.

NETA Auto also highlighted that thanks to a series of supportive government policies, the company intends to establish deep roots in Uzbekistan, positioning the Central Asian market as a critical hub for its international expansion. From there, it aims to gradually extend its reach into the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

Since the initiation of its global expansion strategy in 2021, NETA Auto has rapidly scaled its presence internationally, becoming the top-selling Chinese new energy vehicle startup in Southeast Asia during the first half of 2024. Looking ahead, the company plans to continue strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia while actively expanding into markets in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
