Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 20, 2024, Zhuoyu (formerly DJI Automotive) and NVIDIA held a partnership ceremony to announce their collaboration on developing flagship intelligent driving solutions, leveraging NVIDIA's next-generation centralized vehicle computing platform, NVIDIA DRIVE Thor.

Zhuoyu will develop its next-generation flagship advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor platform, which is powered by NVIDIA DriveOS. This collaboration aims to provide Chinese automakers with innovative, high-performance intelligent transportation solutions, particularly in the premium vehicle segment.

The DRIVE Thor platform is designed for automotive applications involving generative AI, offering a safer, more reliable, and enjoyable driving experience. It integrates NVIDIA's latest CPU and GPU technologies, including the Blackwell GPU architecture for Transformer and generative AI functionalities. The platform enables high-level autonomous driving and unmanned driving capabilities, consolidating all functions onto a single centralized platform, improving efficiency, reliability, and reducing overall system costs.

Zhuoyu has been working with NVIDIA since 2021, with its advanced smart driving system already running on the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platform, integrated into mass-production vehicles. Zhuoyu’s “Chengxing Platform” is compatible with multiple chip platforms, maximizing computing power while lowering the barrier for automakers to deploy smart driving solutions.

By 2025, Zhuoyu will harness DRIVE Thor’s 1,000 TOPS of computing power to advance large model deveployment in intelligent driving and deliver enhanced driving experiences, making cutting-edge technology accessible across mainstream vehicles.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
