On September 20, according to the Zhongna public account, Jiangsu Zhongna Energy Technology Co., Ltd. recently collaborated with Suzhou Jiaofa Baige Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to successfully develop and launch Suzhou's first sodium-ion battery two-wheeler charging and swapping demonstration project.

On September 20, 2024, according to information from the Zhongna public account, the first sodium-ion battery two-wheeler charging and swapping demonstration project in Suzhou, jointly developed by Zhongna and Suzhou Jiaofa Group, was put into operation.

Jiangsu Zhongna Energy Technology Co., Ltd. recently collaborated with Suzhou Jiaofa Baige Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to successfully develop and launch Suzhou's first sodium-ion battery two-wheeler charging and swapping demonstration project. This follows the significant move on September 4, 2024, when Suzhou Energy Group officially delivered and put into use its "Light Storage Charging Inspection Release Swap" comprehensive energy demonstration station, which was Suzhou's first demonstration project applying sodium-ion batteries.

The project employs sodium iron sulphate sodium-ion battery technology, intelligent charging and swapping cabinets, and an AIoT battery operation monitoring system, achieving full-chain intelligent management of hardware and software. It provides efficient and convenient charging and swapping services for various application scenarios such as shared electric vehicles, civilian battery swapping, and food delivery. Based on the intrinsic safety of the sodium iron sulphate material system, the project fundamentally enhances battery safety and, combined with system-level safety protection, effectively prevents safety accidents during the charging process, establishing a solid urban fire safety defense. Additionally, the Juna series sodium-ion batteries for sharing/swapping demonstrate advantages in low-temperature resistance, long cycle life, and environmental protection, aligning with the current societal demand for green travel and energy conservation. These features not only reduce the cost of using electric vehicles and extend battery life but also decrease environmental pollution, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals. Looking ahead, Zhongna Energy will deepen cooperation with more partners to further enhance the safety and convenience of electric bicycle charging and swapping, providing city residents with a worry-free travel experience.

Suzhou Jiaofa Baige Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Huqiu District of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The company is composed of two major shareholders: Anhui Liandong Digital Energy Technology Co., Ltd., holding 51% of the shares and being the controlling shareholder, and Suzhou High-tech Tram Group Co., Ltd., holding 49%.

Progress of the Sodium Battery Swapping Station
The Wuxi First Electric Sodium Battery Swapping Station, the first smart swapping "sodium" warehouse in Jiangsu Province (early August 2024, in cooperation with Pangu New Energy and the Municipal Energy Group under Wuxi Municipal Group)

The Wuxi electric bicycle centralized charging and swapping station is located in the most beautiful logistics street area of Helie Street, serving multiple courier companies such as Zhongtong, Yuantong, and Yunda. The station is equipped with four sodium-ion swapping cabinets independently developed by Pangu New Energy, one charging pile, one vending machine, and a supporting rest area, forming an efficiently operating swapping ecosystem. The swapping cabinets can simultaneously provide 44 fully charged batteries, meeting the daily needs of over 80 courier tricycles, significantly improving the operational efficiency of the logistics park.
