SMM data shows that China's lithium manganese oxide production increased in August 2024 month-on-month and year-on-year. The main reason is that due to the continuous decline in lithium carbonate prices in the early days, the price of lithium manganese oxide has also fallen to the bottom, and enterprises can only survive by controlling production. However, with the arrival of the traditional "Golden September and Silver October" peak season, the downstream market demand has picked up, which has led to an increase in the production schedule of lithium manganese oxide enterprises. At the same time, the price of lithium carbonate has been at a low level, and the market is expected to stop falling and rebound, which also makes the production enthusiasm of lithium manganese oxide enterprises recover. Under the dual role of raw materials and demand, the output of lithium manganese oxide market increased slightly. It is expected that in September, the purchasing willingness of the downstream market will continue to increase, and the price of lithium carbonate will stop falling and recover, thereby further promoting the production enthusiasm of lithium manganese oxide enterprises and promoting a slight rebound in production scheduling. However, it is still difficult to achieve significant improvement in the overall market environment. Therefore, on the whole, China's lithium manganese oxide production will continue to rise slightly in September, maintaining a growth rate both year-on-year and month-on-month.
