LG New Energy's Advanced Dry Electrode Production Line Nears Completion, Aiming for 2028 Full-Scale Launch

[LG New Energy's New Production Line to Be Completed Soon] LG New Energy announced on August 20th that its pilot production line for advanced dry electrode technology is approaching completion. The new pilot production line, installed within the company's Ochang Energy Plant, is projected to reach full-scale production by 2028. Amidst the intensifying global competition, LG New Energy aims to bolster its competitiveness through this technology to confront challenges posed by Chinese enterprises. As early as the beginning of July this year, LG New Energy stated its ambition to commercialize the dry coating technology by 2028, describing it as a "game-changing" battery manufacturing technology. According to the plan, LG intends to complete the demonstration production line in the fourth quarter and commence full-scale production in 2028.
