[SMM Analysis: The production capacity of new blast furnaces will continue to increase in the second half of 2024, and the ironmaking capacity will increase instead of decreasing] According to SMM survey data, as of now, there are 12 new blast furnaces put into operation in the country, with a total ironmaking capacity of 18.97 million tons. In the first half of 2024, the number of blast furnaces that will be decommissioned simultaneously is 24, with a total ironmaking capacity of 19.15 million tons.
