Tesla's Shanghai Megapack Factory Set to Complete in 2025, Marking First Outside US

[Tesla: Shanghai Megapack Factory Expected to Complete in 2025 as Scheduled] In a media briefing held on Monday, Tao Lin, the global vice president of Tesla, said that the Shanghai Megapack Factory is expected to complete in 2025 as scheduled, marking Tesla's first Megapack factory outside the United States. Meanwhile, the Shanghai Gigafactory will continue its current production and remains confident in the Chinese market. The groundbreaking ceremony of the Shanghai Megapack Factory was held on May 23 this year. The project is located in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai, covering a total area of approximately 200,000 square meters with a total investment of approximately 1.45 billion yuan. It is expected to start production in the first quarter of 2025, with an anticipated Megapack production of 10,000 units and a storage capacity of nearly 40GWh.

[Yongshan Lithium Plans to Raise up to RMB 500 Million via Private Placement of A-Shares]
On July 29, Yongshan Lithium (603399.SH) announced that it plans to issue A-shares to specific investors, with total funds raised not exceeding RMB 500 million (inclusive). After deducting issuance expenses, the entire amount will be used to replenish working capital. The subscriber is Yonghong Investment, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of the company’s controlling shareholder Yongrong Zhisheng, and the subscription funds will come from its own funds and self‑raised funds. The number of shares to be issued shall not exceed 71,839,080 shares (inclusive), representing 14.02% of the total share capital before the issuance. The issuance price shall not be lower than 80% of the average trading price of the company’s shares over the 20 trading days prior to the pricing benchmark date, with a lock‑up period of 18 months.
