Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 14, Fresh Life Style Supply Chain Management (Fresh-SCM), a subsidiary of the Chinese agricultural business conglomerate New Hope Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chinese power battery giant CATL in Ningde city, according to a post on CATL's WeChat account.

The two parties aim to leverage their respective strengths to enhance industrial chain synergy and engage in comprehensive and in-depth cooperation centered around "zero-carbon logistics." According to the agreement, both sides will deepen production and research cooperation, strengthen market linkage, and jointly build a green and low-carbon cold chain logistics industry chain.

Fresh-SCM is a technology-driven and service-oriented cold chain supply chain enterprise integrating warehousing, transportation, and distribution businesses. It boasts over 100 subsidiaries, a nationwide flexible fulfillment network with over 14,700 transportation routes, reaching 900,000 stores across 31 provinces and 2,800 districts and counties.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in the logistics industry’s electrification transition. CATL said, in the future, it will utilize its product and technology advantages to collaborate with Fresh-SCM and other partners to accelerate the electrification of cold chain logistics. This collaboration will also vigorously expand logistics sector subdivisions, contributing to the energy transition in logistics and the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
