[Jamalco Has Fully Resumed Production after the Hurricane] Century Aluminium announced on July 12 that its joint venture Jamalco, which engages in bauxite mining and alumina production in Jamaica, has resumed full production after being hit by Hurricane Beryl. The incident did not cause significant damage to employees or production facilities. Century Aluminium expects that this incident will not have a significant impact on its financial performance. Although the production facilities were not severely damaged, some alumina conveyor belts at the port were affected, and repairs are expected to be completed within a few weeks. During the repair process, Jamalco has arranged alternative ports to ensure the continued transportation of alumina to customers. The damage to the conveyor belts is not expected to affect alumina plant production levels, raw material receiving capabilities, or other operational aspects.
