RoboSense achieves 487.7% YoY soar in H1 2024 LiDAR sales

On July 10, smart LiDAR solution developer RoboSense announced that in the first half of 2024, it sold approximately 243,400 LiDAR units, marking a year-on-year soar of 415.7%.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 10, smart LiDAR solution developer RoboSense announced that in the first half of 2024, it sold approximately 243,400 LiDAR units, marking a year-on-year soar of 415.7%. Of these, around 234,500 units were automotive LiDAR, representing a 487.7% surge from a year ago.

In the second quarter of 2024, RoboSense sold about 123,000 LiDAR units, with 118,300 being automotive LiDAR.

This rapid growth underscores the automotive industry's swift embrace of intelligent technologies. In the first six months of this year, RoboSense has nearly matched its total sales volume for the entire year of 2023. As of June 30, 2024, the company’s cumulative LiDAR sales reached approximately 583,500 units, with automotive LiDAR accounting for about 518,300 units.

According to Gasgoo Auto Research Institute’s rankings for LiDAR supplier’s market share in China in the Jan.-May 2024 period, RoboSense holds a dominant market share of 43%, maintaining its leading position and demonstrating strong market competitiveness.

Regarding vehicle models and large-scale production, by May 17, 2024, RoboSense had secured mass-production orders for 71 vehicle models from 22 global automakers and Tier 1 suppliers.
