ZERON, the technology company specializing in new energy heavy-duty trucks, recently announced the completion of its A1 funding round, which raised for the company nearly 100 million yuan.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- ZERON, the technology company specializing in new energy heavy-duty trucks, recently announced the completion of its A1 funding round, which raised for the company nearly 100 million yuan.

The round was jointly invested by Shanghai Chusudu (Momenta), Cherish Capital, Skyview Fund, and a fund backed by Taicang city. The new funding will boost the mass production and delivery of ZERON's electric heavy-duty trucks and support the development of autonomous driving technology and new vehicle models.

In mid-May, ZERON announced at it’s a launch event that its two new energy heavy-duty truck models, the Jingzhe and the Xiaoman, have achieved mass production and delivery. The company also unveiled significant technological advancements, showcasing its strong strategic decision-making and in-house R&D capabilities.

Founded in June 2022, ZERON was co-founded by Huang Zehua, former co-founder and engineering partner of autonomous driving company TuSimple, and Zhang Hongsong, former general manager of SANY Heavy Truck and vice president of Beijing Foton Daimler. The team has grown to 200 members, with 70% dedicated to R&D.

This funding round will further propel the market launch and technical upgrades of the Jingzhe and Xiaoman models. It will provide solid financial support for scaling up mass production and market delivery of ZERON's new energy heavy-duty trucks. Additionally, the funds will be used to deepen R&D in autonomous driving technology and expand the design and delivery of new vehicle models.
