As Overseas Purchasing Enthusiasm Weakened, May SiMn Alloy Exports Decreased [SMM Analysis]

According to the General Administration of Customs, China's SiMn alloy exports were 5,762.60 mt in May, down 28.49% MoM. The exports in January-May totalled 21,400 mt, down 25.37% YoY. In May, China's SiMn alloy imports reached 3,622.17 mt, up 168.64% MoM. The imports in January-May totalled 10,700 mt, up 159.65% YoY.

Overseas SiMn alloy purchases were relatively high in April. In May, the downstream entered the demand off-season and showed weakening purchasing enthusiasm.
