Beijing (Gasgoo)- On June 23, AEROFUGIA, a subsidiary of Geely specializing in general aviation solutions, successfully conducted a public demonstration flight of its AE200 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

This marked the conclusion of the second phase of test flights, showcasing the aircraft's full tilt-rotor transition capabilities and further verifying its control quality.

During the demonstration, AEROFUGIA's R&D team adhered strictly to standard flight test control procedures. The AE200 performed a complete tilt transition flight test, smoothly transitioning its rotors from 90° to 0° and back, achieving a safe takeoff and landing.

The AE200, a self-developed strategic product by AEROFUGIA, is a 5-6-seat tilt-rotor eVTOL with a range of 200 kilometers. It is designed for high-density passenger transport in urban areas, air tourism, and emergency rescue missions.

In early June, the AE200 successfully completed its first full tilt transition flight test, making AEROFUGIA the first company in China and the second globally to achieve this milestone. Since then, the R&D team has conducted a series of system-specific test flights, gradually expanding the operational boundaries and testing scenarios of the aircraft.

Alongside its technical advancements, AEROFUGIA is accelerating the commercial deployment of eVTOL services. Recently, the company supported the city of Chengdu in completing the first urban low-altitude manned verification flight, establishing the operational processes for low-altitude travel routes in the city. Moving forward, AEROFUGIA plans to collaborate with relevant departments to implement a step-by-step strategy for low-altitude economic operations, expediting the application of low-altitude travel services.
